Anwar-Azam conspiracy
A Bloomberg report citing sources is alleging a conspiracy between Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and MACC chief Azam Baki.
Allegedly, Azam told MACC officers that Anwar had directed the graft busters to probe the premier's rivals, including Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Daim Zainuddin, while turning a blind eye to business dealings involving Anwar's former aide Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak.
Azam's alleged subservience was in exchange for Anwar extending the former's term as MACC chief.
The Prime Minister's Office and MACC have denied the allegations, but critics are now urging Anwar to sue Bloomberg.

Madani gaining Malay support
BN's landslide victory in Mahkota appears to indicate that the Madani coalition is gaining Malay support.
This is the second by-election in a row in which PN has experienced not only a loss but also a drop in vote share and total votes.
However, it's also another by-election in which non-Malay support for the federal coalition, especially among Chinese, declined, with those unhappy choosing to stay at home instead of voting.
