PMO gives up on J-Kom?
The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has seemingly given up on the Community Communications Department (J-Kom) to fight disinformation against the government.
Starting Monday (March 3), the PMO will hold twice daily live briefings on social media to ensure the public receives accurate and reliable information.
This comes just over a month after the third J-Kom chief under the Anwar Ibrahim administration was appointed.

Mkini journo arrested
MACC arrested Malaysiakini journalist B Nantha Kumar on Friday night.
It came just a week after the news portal published his article detailing how a former Immigration Department officer, who is now a “Datuk”, is the mastermind behind the new Pakistani cartel responsible for smuggling migrant workers into Malaysia.
MACC chief Azam Baki denied that the arrest was over the article.
Instead, he said Nantha was arrested after allegedly taking a RM20,000 bribe from an immigration agent, purportedly to drop the publication of two more incriminating articles.

Razman suspended
Perak PAS chief Razman Zakaria has reportedly been put on garden leave from his party post.
The central PAS leadership reportedly decided this after Razman found himself in a bind over several issues, including linking Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh with YTL Corporation founder Yeoh Tiong Lay.
However, no official statement has been made, and Razman has not commented on the matter.
