Final countdown for CJ extension
The clock is ticking for the country's first female chief justice, Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat.
Tengku Maimun turns 66 on Wednesday - the mandatory retirement age for senior judges.
The constitution allows for a six-month extension, and legal eagles and politicians have been pressing the government to pull the trigger.
But Putrajaya has remained silent, just as it has over an allegation that a senior judge was questioned by the Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC) regarding possible interference in judicial affairs.

Another Sabah shockwave
Two Sabah assemblypersons and the bribe-giver-turned-whistleblower who exposed their alleged corruption will all be charged today (Monday).
But the charges appear to have set off another explosive revelation implicating six more politicians in graft.
Among them are Star president Jeffrey Kitingan and his two deputies, Ellron Alfred Angin and Robert Tawik, PBS acting president Joachim Gunsalam, his predecessor Maximus Ongkili, and deputy president Jahid Jahim.
A source claimed the six collectively received RM3.96 million in bribes.

13MP revision triggers Rafizi
Finance Minister II Amir Hamzah Azizan has been tasked with taking over Rafizi Ramli's duties as economy minister, and this includes reviewing and revamping the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP).
This alarmed Rafizi, who warned that a last-minute revision before the July 31 deadline risks politicising the plan, which has been in the works for months.
He also questioned whether this was a knee-jerk response to criticism against government spokesperson Fahmi Fadzil, which Fahmi denied.
