Anwar and the godfather of oil
The relationship between Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and an Indonesian businessperson dubbed the "godfather of oil" is in the spotlight.
The tycoon, Riza Chalid, is wanted by Indonesian authorities as a suspect in a corruption case involving state-owned oil and gas giant Pertamina.
He is not in Indonesia, and his last known location is Malaysia.
Anwar admitted to knowing Riza in passing. The two were photographed together two years ago after a "courtesy call" with the sultan of Kedah.
However, he claimed not to know where the businessperson is now but assured that he won't interfere with the case.

Anwar the peacemaker
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim played a key role in brokering a ceasefire between Thailand and Cambodia after mediating peace talks between the two countries' premiers in Putrajaya on Monday.
Anwar's role was acknowledged by the US, with Secretary of State Marco Rubio thanking the premier for his leadership.
Before the ceasefire, US President Donald Trump had also threatened to stall tariff negotiations until the fighting stopped, and Anwar also acknowledged his role.
Now, Trump appears to want all the credit and is parading himself as a "president of peace" who “ended the war”.
Anwar pushed back, saying the ceasefire was the result of regional diplomacy, not external pressure from global powers.
