In celebration of Merdeka Day, Lalamove, the leading on-demand delivery platform, has partnered with local illustrator Yellobanana to spotlight the everyday Malaysians who keep the country moving.

This collaboration is part of Lalamove’s latest campaign, Kita Move Bersama, which pays tribute to the spirit of unity and togetherness.

To bring the artwork to life, Lalamove is also launching limited-edition merchandise featuring Yellobanana’s exclusive illustration, including tote bags, t-shirts and exclusive Lalamove Montigo bottles. From 5 August 2025, users can stand a chance to win these exclusive items by placing delivery orders as part of the Kita Move Bersama delivery contest.

At the heart of the campaign is a vibrant illustration by Yellobanana, showing Lalamove driver partners delivering parcels and transporting passengers, portrayed as everyday heroes navigating busy streets. The scene captures Lalamove’s role in connecting people, businesses and communities across Malaysia.

Set against a colourful backdrop, the artwork also features iconic landmarks like KLCC and the Penang Bridge, alongside cherished national symbols such as the wau, hornbill and Rafflesia. Each detail celebrates the diversity, energy and unity that keep Malaysia moving forward as one.

Small Trips, Big Wins: Lalamove’s Way of Saying Thanks
In addition to the contest, users can also redeem the merchandise using their accumulated LalaPoints through Lalamove’s loyalty program, Lalamove Rewards.

Throughout Merdeka month, Lalamove will roll out a series of loyalty campaigns to reward users for every delivery and Ride order, with prizes including Kita Move Bersama merchandise and e-vouchers from popular brands.

Yellobanana, a rising name in Malaysia’s illustration scene, is known for her playful and vibrant art style, as well as her storytelling through local culture. Her work often features Malaysian food, places and everyday characters, making her the ideal collaborator for Lalamove to mirror the delivery platform’s vision of everyday mobility made simple.

For the Kita Move Bersama campaign, Yellobanana shared that the illustration was built around one central idea: the connection between Malaysians.

“Movement isn’t just about getting from Point A to B. It’s about care, connection, and the invisible people who make daily life easier for others,” she explained.

“I built the artwork around that idea — different vehicles and characters moving through city streets and small towns, in rain and shine — all flowing together like they’re part of one big, shared rhythm. I used warm colours, layered motion, and soft transitions to show that even though these people move quietly, they carry big stories.”

Yellobanana also shared how the collaboration with Lalamove aligns with the brand’s mission to uplift communities and everyday Malaysians:

“By working with local creatives, Lalamove isn’t just promoting services — they’re celebrating people: the driver partners, the customers, the community. That’s powerful. And it gives artists like me a chance to bring those stories to life through our own lens.”

This collaboration also marks the first phase of the Kita Move Bersama campaign, which will continue with a video set to launch in conjunction with Hari Merdeka.
