Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who once painted DAP as an enemy of Islam and had its leader Lim Kit Siang detained under Operasi Lalang, is now seated with him at the 50th DAP Convention.

The Dec 9 incident caused unease among some DAP delegates who viewed Mahathir as a "tainted dictator".
