A Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) contractor puts up the national flag at the Loke Yew flats on August 16.

The country will celebrate the 60th Merdeka Day on August 31 and the 54th Malaysia Day on Sept 16.

DBKL is mulling to make it compulsory for business owners to fly the Jalur Gemilang at their premises as a condition for renewing their licence.
