National diver Nur Dhabitah Sabri lit up the 29th SEA Games torch at Bukit Jalil National Stadium on Aug 19, signifying the official commencement of the games.

Rain did not hamper the high spirit of some 80,000 spectators and athletes at the biennial event.

This year, Malaysia has the highest number of participants with 844 athletes participating.

Around 4,700 athletes will contest in 404 events in 38 sports over the next 11 days.
