A mother comforts her daughter who started her Year One at a school in Ampang, on Tuesday. 

The new school term started on Jan 2, 2018, after the year-end holidays ended last December. 

This year's school term also sees the continuation of the Dual Language Programme (DLP) for Year One pupils and Form One students, which involves the teaching of Mathematics and Science in English.
