A trader selling white school shoes for RM10 a pair, hoping to clear his stockpile before the Education Ministry's directive to switch to black shoes for national school students, comes into force.
This mobile-truck was spotted outside a primary school in Sungai Kandis in Selangor, where a by-election will take place on Aug 4.
Last week, Education Minister Maszlee Malek announced that students nationwide would be required to wear black school shoes starting from next year's school session, taking into account requests from parents to the Education Ministry since he became the minister.
On Saturday, Maszlee he said that a one year grace period would be given to all quarters before the ruling is enforced.
