As many as 111 secondary schools in the district have been ordered shut due to the dumping of chemical waste in Sungai Kim Kim a week ago.

Pressure is mounting on the government to declare a state of emergency in Pasir Gudang, with the incident leaving over 1,000 people seeking medical attention for poisoning.
