A Love Supreme, legendary Jazz saxophonist John Coltrane's magnum opus, explores the spiritual side of music, relaying deeper meanings of self-acceptance and resolutions, conveying a series of powerful poems, interestingly through a tenor saxophone, in four parts:

Part 1: Acknowledgement

An introductory piece, a call to prayer, devoting oneself to A Love Supreme. Coltrane has personally admitted his musical talents are not of his own but belongs to spiritual powers beyond him. He notably chants the album name at the end of the track, resembling a mantra of peace and acceptance.

Part 2: Resolution

"My music is the spiritual expression of what I am - my faith, my knowledge, my being”, Coltrane shared. To come with an immense realization such as this, Coltrane pledged to use his talent for a single purpose, helping humanity on a deeper level and resolving inner conflicts simply with his music.

Part 3

This song is a straight-up flex, showcasing the finest instrumentations in jazz music, even modern music itself. "In the year of 1957, I experienced, by the grace of God, a spiritual awakening, which was to lead me to a richer, fuller, more productive life." This can be seen in this track.: Pursuance

Part 4: Psalm

Finally, some would argue this track to be the greatest jazz composition of all time. Imagine, John Coltrane himself, kneeling and professing a love so pure that words can't ever paint a fragment of the blissful feeling of beauty and wonder in accepting oneself. To experience it, you must listen to it, and John delivers a soliloquy for the ages.
