"The official cars should not be misused for our own personal use or for the party and should be used only for state government purposes," Lim told a press conference today.
"This is the integrity held by the state administration although we are now only the caretaker government.
"The same goes for our drivers who will only work according to office hours and when we are attending official state functons."
Lim also reminded his state lawmakers and administrators not to use the official cars for the election campaign, which has been in full swing ever since the the state legislative assembly was dissolved on April 5.
The dissolution came two days after Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak announced the
dissolution of Parliament
on April 3.
Meanwhile, Lim criticised the BN for not spelling out the measures to eradicate corruption in its manifesto, which Najib launched last Saturday night.
He added that some of the measures to address corrupt practices include the declaration of assets and the implementation of an open tender system.
“The state has practised these two measures since 2008 and it was proven to be effective when our anti-corruption campaign was praised by Transparency International,” Lim said.
