Investigations on the Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi for sedition, is currently being discussed with the Attorney-General Abdul Gani Patail, said Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khalid Abu Bakar.

“We are in discussion with the AG and the investigation is almost complete,” said Khalid at a press conference in Kuala Lumpur today.

Khalid ( right ) also pointed out that discussions between the police and the AG when an investigation is ongoing is normal.

“In the process of investigation, we are always in discussion with the AG,” he said.

On Oct 15, Khalid informed the media that the police had finished following up on Zahid's statement based on the police report by Perak DAP.

The report claimed that Zahid was seditious during his campaign at the Pengkalan Kubor by-election

DAP had reported Zahid accused DAP supporters of throwing stones at his and the Perak crown prince's car during the Perak crisis in 2009.
