A 12-year-old boy charged with the murder of his tuition teacher's 10-year-old daughter has been released on bail. However, the court has imposed several conditions and one of them states that he cannot attend functions or patronise public places without the supervision of his parents.

The names of new party state chiefs and a partial list of new bureau chiefs were revealed today by MCA president Dr Ling Liong Sik today. Of the 18 bureau chiefs only six were retained and five were noted Ling loyalists.
