I cannot agree with the writer more on this issue. I operate a small business that requires an annual inspection and certification by a few relevant departments in one major municipality.

To get one officer to come and look-see the premises for an inspection will require several phone calls or worse, they will ask you to pick them up, followed by a lunch and sometimes something else.

We have lived through this for years and we're still hoping that the situation will change for the good or the better but the question is, will it ever? I and other thousands of other small businessmen will continue until we close shop
