The objective is to raise our Standard of Eng! No one will quetion this goodcause. But why improve English through Maths and Science? Where is the logic.Then why not Geography and history because there are more vocabularies than MTHS AND sCIENCE.Will stUDENT BECOME ROJAK AND neither do they master well in Maths at the end of the day?

Is there a hidden agenda to use public fund to help some companies sell books and equipments in Science and Maths?

My malay friends Miss Aishah who is a mandarin teacher in Ernesco say one of the reason Malay send their children to Chinese schools is because she find that the maths is better eg ba X ba lu xi si instead of lapan gali lapan jadi enam puluh empat! The japanese also uses ban and ich,ni,san,shi,goh,roku etc,there are less sylabus and hence faster proceesing time .

I am not sure the two astronaut s from China are very conversant in Eng before they enter outer space? For your information,Lee Tsien Loong once said the S'gapore government is thinking of reviving Chinese primary schools.What works for singapore for last 30 years may not necessary guarantee their suceess in the future.30 yr in the history is too short to judge.(moreover,their neigbour has not awaken and do not know how to manage ports,goodairport yet then)The danger of Singapore lies in this group of younger generation who are Ang Mohwho are very proud.My concern is how to improve Englsih by just teaching Mathematic in Englsih? Does this make sense?

The solution is very simple,make Eng a compulsory pass and and our Kiashu parents will find all ways to improve thier children's English like what we face in the 70 when Bahasa is made a compulsory credit! The government 's role is very simple,encourage and facilatate the setting up of more private language centres,relax the rules for foreign Eng teacher to come in.....Today,do you still face with Chinese who has difficulties of passing Bahasa? Did they introduce mths and Sains to be taught in Bahasa for Chinese primary Schools to improve Bahasa Malaysia? Do you want to be like Singapore end up having an Eng Supremacy society where most of the citizens has lost their human value and become very materialsitic and shallow? Are you sure this is the only solution in the long run when the west is also fast catching in learning Mandarin?
