Ousted MIC deputy youth V Mugilan should prepare himself for some nasty blasts from the past, as his schoolmates take the stage in the Hulu Selangor MIC Anti-Mugilan Movement (GAM) roadshow.

According to Bandar Baru Bukit Sentosa MIC chief Mohd Fauzi Manivanan Abdullah, the aim is to expose Mugilan's chequered background to about 50 people at Bukit Sentosa today.

He added that two fellow students of SMK Kuala Kubu Bharu will reveal "what he did in his school days and his attitude", aiming to prove that Mugilan was a bad apple from the start.

"We will hold small indoor events in each polling stream, from Bukit Beruntung to Hulu Bernam, to show people who the real Mugilan is," he said when contacted this morning.

GAM is a counter-movement to Mugilan's Anti-Samy Vellu Movement (GAS) which plans to hold its mass gathering on Sunday.

"We will continue our roadshow until Mugilan calls off GAS," he said. 

Besides rehashing his school days, Fauzi added that exco members of MIC Youth Hulu Selangor will reveal that Mugilan had been ineffective as a youth chief in his own backyard.

"He was MIC Youth chief in Hulu Selangor for 15 years and he did not help a single Indian youth entrepreneur.

"The only events he organized were friendly sports matches and banquets," he said, adding that his performance pales in comparison with Umno leaders in the area.

Indian youth disgusted with Mugilan

Echoing MIC Youth secretary C Sivaraajh, Fauzi said that Mugilan's contribution in the Hulu Selangor by-election was dismal, "showing his face only if a minister was attending the event."

In fact, he added, former Hulu Selangor MP G Palanivel lost his seat in the 2008 general election because the Indian youths there were so "disgusted with Mugilan".

"Look at the results from the younger voters, there were pathetic, especially in his own area of Kerling," he said.

GAS is scheduled to hold Sunday gathering at the Mines International Exhibition and Convention Centre, after they were barred from having the event at the Umno-owned Putra World Trade Centre.
