RCI on sex video after actor identified, says Nazri

Lover Boy: Nazri Abdul Aziz, let me try and understand you and those in the cabinet. When Wan Azizah Wan Ismail denied that the person in the short clip is DSAI (Anwar Ibrahim), you felt that the denial is tantamount to accusing Umno being the perpetrator behind the video. As such, you feel that a RCI (royal commission of inquiry) is needed to absolve Umno or BN.

That being the case, it only leads to show that Umno agrees with the common man thinking that it is indeed Umno that is behind the screening. Thus a RCI is needed to absolve Umno.

Nazri, the IGP (inspector-general of police) has said that the tape is authentic. The Datuk T has breached section 292 of the Penal Code. Why are they still at large? So you have a RCI. What good does it do? Malaysians still say that it is an Umno plot because of the immunity you have given to the perpetrators who have admitted that they are the culprits.

What is worse is that it is confirmed the Attorney-General's Chambers and the police are all part of an Umno plot to topple DSAI.

Quigonbond: 1) There is never a doubt that Nazri is stupid. If he just spends some time reading the blogs instead of watching TV3 news, he would know that many people have said the authenticity of the video is a side question, what's more important is the identity of the actor. At least, the cabinet as a whole has a bit more brain.

2) Anwar may have quoted the Quran, but it's Najib who swore on Quran that he does not know Altantuya Shaariibuu, and somehow, that's good enough to avoid a police investigation even though his security aides and good friend were implicated.

3) The digs that Nazri made at Anwar implies that the government has already made up its mind, and therefore any police investigation into the matter will not be impartial. Please engage FBI/Scotland Yard forensic anthropologists to examine Anwar and the video, and let them give their opinion.

Together with other analyses, such as the actor in the video has no beard while Anwar showed up in court the next day with beard, it's likely it is not Anwar in the video.

Dingy: The police could easily solve the sex video case if they get businessman Shazryl Eskay Abdullah to show them the hotel and the room where the incident took place.

This is because Eskay claimed he was at the hotel to search for the Omega watch. If Eskay cannot show the room as in the video, then he must be lying. If so, then the video was done somewhere outside the country.

The fact that the uploaded video has a Bangkok address showed that it was all planned by Eskay to shame Anwar in order to gain favour from Najib. I believe it is related to the RM20 million that he couldn't get for the crooked bridge project .

So those who are calling for a RCI are plain hypocrites. Everyone knows that this call for a RCI is a political vendetta. Why not RCIs on scams that have cost the country millions and billions of ringgit.

The reason - there are two sets of laws in the country. The ruling elite is above any law, while the masses are subject to the law for even minor misdemeanours. And for some, even sex between consenting adults is now deemed a crime. Bolehland is becoming more of a banana republic like some African tin-pot dictatorships.

Docs: What Nazri is saying is that if the police can find enough evidence, or in this case, cook up sufficient evidence to prove that Anwar is the actor in the porno flick, he will call for a RCI. If the police can't obtain the necessary evidence, then there is no point in having it.

After all, the purpose of the sex tape is to paint Anwar in a bad light and the RCI will be the perfect vehicle to drag Anwar through mud. Once again, we may again see Umno using the royalty to do their bidding.

Ferdtan: There were some photos of the sons of Umno ministers with scantily-clad ladies with liquor in their hands; and even a minister in his youth holding a can of beer were circulated in the Internet, so shall we identify the people before the calling for RCI?

Stop wasting our time - just arrest the real law breakers, the three 'Datuk T'. If not, the police is confirmed to be biased and partial.

Lim Chong Leong: Nazri, it is not for RCI to inquire if this was an incident of soliciting for sex or who is sleeping with prostitutes, and it is certainly not for RCI to see who is moral and who is immoral. What is certain is this - it is for the police to arrest anyone who have broken the law, like in this instance, producing and screening porn.

Joker: Nazri, you are already pre-judging the case since you say DSAI is involved in immoral activities. Even if the investigation eventually proves that it is DSAI, the government need not establish a RCI just yet. They need to ask why DSAI engaged a prostitute. It could be because his wife didn't ‘drop everything that she was doing' when DSAI asked for sex.

Then it is the wife's fault as it is not Islamic for the wife to refuse the husband's advances and thus she is to be blamed for DSAI's ‘immoral activities'. This is as per the teachings of Ibrahim Ali, the champion of Malays and defender of Islam.

Ghkok: Hundred of thousands of people on Facebook already came to the conclusion that it's not Anwar. Not that we need to view it. Even without viewing the rubbish, we know that it's not him.

It's like if someone were to come to me and say that he has evidence that Lee Kuan Yew has taken bribes, I have every reason to dismiss that. I can say, prima facie, I don't believe. I have every right to say that because LKY has an excellent track record of integrity. I don't even need to look at the stupid "evidence".

Same thing with Anwar - I say prima facie, I don't believe he's the guy in the video because he's got an excellent track record of decency and morality. I dismiss the stupid video even without looking at it. It's a justified and acceptable stand. Thousands of right-minded people agree with that. Now, Nazri wants to waste time and money on a RCI for that. He's a lunatic.

Bluemountains: The cabinet cannot form a RCI for the pornographic video because (1) it does not affect the interest of the public and (2) it has not violated any law. If the cabinet goes ahead with the decision to form a RCI, it can be charged for abuse of power.

Anonymous_4196: I think this a Catch-22 situation for the 'Datuk T'. In the first place, they should be charged for blackmailing, producing and showing pornographic video in public, regardless whether the person in the video is Anwar or not.

However, if the person in the video is not Anwar, a lawsuit would probably be filed by Anwar on top of the charges against them.
