Malaysiawatch4.blogspot: RM160,000 a month for electricity bills? Wow! They definitely need to change their lifestyles.

The basic problem is the design of the buildings which is probably fully air-conditioned - those reception halls must be major electricity guzzlers. It would be better if they designed open-air halls with proper ventilation and high roofs properly insulated to entertain their guests, with nice shady trees - there is really no need for air-conditioning.

I also suggest the PM and DPM should be granted maybe RM5,000 and RM3,000 electricity allowance respectively. If they exceed the budget, they should pay their own way.

Truth Seeker: Both men are glaring spendthrifts and culprits in contributing to global warming and environmental damage. Imagine, there are people who don't even have electricity and water supply in their homes.

It's a case of not having to pay these utilities with their own money plus the need to retain the loyalty of all their household members by providing them with comfortable air-conditioned and ‘long baths' lifestyle.

FairMind: And the PM Najib Abdul Razak has the gall to ask the rakyat to adjust their lifestyles while he and DPM Muhyiddin Yassin splurge all the rakyat's savings on their official homes?

KSN: It would be extremely wise to shift all government departments from Putrajaya, a God-forsaken place anyway, to Kuala Lumpur for public convenience. Sell the place to some rich company and recover the billions spent from public funds.

On second thought, leave it as a monument to Mahathir for the criminal absurdity of creating Putrajaya.

Loyal Malaysian: This is what the rakyat expects of a constructive opposition. Those are difficult questions for the Umnoputras but answers must be forthcoming if they expect the rakyat to tighten their belts as well.

Hann Wei Toh: Basically, if the government does not pay the existing independent power producers (IPPs) and highway operators, the end users will have to pay.

If there are producers and operators who are willing to work for a much lower price, we certainly welcome them. I am interested in knowing which companies have been proposing the construction and maintenance of new highways and power plants cheaply, and why they have been or have not been doing so.

JBGUY: This outrageous misrepresentation by the BN needs to be told to the rakyat. Why isn't the mainstream media highlighting this issue? Where are the so-called editors who claim to write for the good of the nation?

It is so sad that so much is swept under the carpet and the rakyat continue to bear the brunt of the abuses by the BN government. MPs, why aren't you guys raising this issue in Parliament?

The removal of subsidies is to satisfy the avarice of the political well-connected, cronies, their friends and family members. We'll soon be like Greece in the medium-term, and Zimbabwe in the long-term.

Proarte: Sungai Petani MP Johari Abdul is a typical Umno/PKR opportunist. He produces a 'documentary' doubting the authenticity of the video but when it was shown the sex video in the presence of his uncle Shuib Lazim, Rahim Thamby Chik and Shahryl Eskay Abdullah, he confirmed that it is Anwar. The Anwar camp must have bribed him to change his tune.

Mohd: I have seen the secret video of Johari. Frankly, I can't comprehend why it became an issue. I thought the video just show that what he had said before about not believing that the sex video holds ground.

What Ummo/BN is trying to do is to "lead" some weak-minded people who are easily swayed into thinking otherwise. Thank god, God gave me brain.
