'Phone sex': I don't know who she is, says Mat Sabu
PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu today denied any knowledge about an audiotape excerpt that is being circulated among Umno bloggers, purported to be sex talk over the phone between him and a woman.
PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu today denied any knowledge about an audiotape excerpt that is being circulated among Umno bloggers, purported to be sex talk over the phone between him and a woman.
“I don't know, I have not heard of it... I haven't even seen the Chua Soi Lek video,” he said.
Asked if he knew the woman in the audio excerpt, said to be one Normah Halim, Mohamad, who is widely known as Mat Sabu, also denied it.
“I don't know, I don't recognise (the name),” he said.
Yesterday, online news portal Agenda Daily reported that Mat Sabu had responded “no comment” three times when asked about the audio excerpt, which has also made its way into YouTube.
Mat Sabu, made the denial during a press conference at the PAS headquarters in Kuala Lumpur this afternoon.
The video on YouTube , which is a presentation on Mat Sabu's background, runs the audio excerpt as well and claims that his conversation with Normah took place in 1994.
It is unclear if the recording is connected to a khalwat (close proximity) case in which Mat Sabu was charged alongside one Norma Abdul Halim.
They were acquitted of the charge the same year.
The phone sex recording is the latest in a series of attacks against Mat Sabu since late last month when he was accused of symphatising with the pre-independence communist insurgency.
