The Selangor government said it is prepared to allocate funds to finance foreign experts to investigate the National Feedlot Corporation (NFC) scandal.

“I leave the matter to PKR strategic director Rafizi Ramli dan PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution.

“They will make a presentation to the police and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to show them what they need to focus on.

Such an approach is new in Malaysia, but is highly regarded in Britain dan Australia,” said the MB on a TV Selangor news report.

The NFC scandal was hot topic at the Umno general assembly in Kuala Lumpur this week.

While Umno Wanita chief Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, whose husband is NFC executive chairperson, had blamed the opposition for stoking the controversy,but internal discontent over the government handling of the issue appears to be simmering

Umno supreme council member Bung Mokhtar Radin had twice called on the Shahrizat to step down over the issue, which he said was a liability to Umno.
