大马政府对国内著名人权组织人民之声“磨刀霍霍”之际,56个国外人权组织今天发表联合声明,力促政府立即停止骚扰人民之声的举动。

这些组织除了国际组织,也来自尼泊尔、阿富汗、缅甸、柬埔寨、蒙古、菲律宾、澳洲、印尼、中国、印度、斯里兰卡等国家。

抨结社自由受钳制

他们在今天文告强调,人民之声是基于在社团法令下,要注册成为合法团体障碍重重,才无奈在公司法令下注册成为一家公司。而国内众多民间组织也都面对同样的问题。

他们更批评,这种情况显示,大马结社自由受到严重的钳制。

接受外国援助无罪

其次,他们也强烈谴责大马政府企图抹黑接受外国援助的组织,尤其人民之声。

这些组织表明,人民之声推动大马人权的努力受到国内外的肯定,而且没有任何资料显示接受外国援助触犯了大马任何的法令。

他们也提醒,大马政府过去也接受了外国的发展援助。

执法机构公正调查

他们也响应国内136个民间组织之前要求政府停止攻击人民之声,同时尊重和肯定正当人权工作的呼声。

这56个组织也敦促大马执法机构必须执行公正不阿的调查。
