YOURSAY 'What's has China got to do with our budget? And Soros again? After so many years, we are still blaming Soros for all our woes and sorrows?'
BN MP: Western funders aim to stymie China's rise
LittleGiant:
Kinabatangan MP Bung Mokhtar Radin's "extremely accurate findings" that Western powers seek to destabilise the government and compel Malaysia to do their bidding, and this in turn would stop China's influence in the 21st century economy is simply astonishing.
I don't think that even international high-profile intelligence agencies have the "extraordinary calibre" for such "findings" and be able to "accurately analyse" and report like Bung Mokhtar.
But as a voter, I am not swayed a bit in my decision not to support a government that has no regard or respect for transparency and accountability and has an anti-corruption body that has only 'limited' powers to do its job.
And, if Malaysiakini speaks the truth and that is "publishing libel" as claimed by Bung Mokhtar, then what about some mainstream media that is not able to speak any truth at all and forever keeps "spinning stories" about opposition politicians?
If that is not "libel", then what should we call that?
Anonymous #72737246: Malaysia chosen to stop China's influence? And yet, those Umno leaders have been saying that the opposition is pro-China, as in being communists? Make up your mind.
Chris Wong: Our current BN administration has done more damage to Malaysia than any other foreign government. I am worried about who is funding BN to do this to us.
Truly Malaysian: Low intelligence people always see conspiracy in everything and conveniently blame others for their own poor performance. I am embarrassed that we keep putting these MPs in our Parliament.
Ksn: Bung Mokhtar's view about Malaysia being able to stem China's influence, hence we are being undermined by currency speculator George Soros through hisfunding of Malaysian NGOs, is, to say the least, out of this world.
When is Parliament going to be dissolved so that we do not have to stomach the views of such morons? Pasir Mas MP Ibrahim Ali of Malay rights group Perkasa, you have something to add?
HYL: What's has China got to do with our budget? And Soros again? After so many years, we are still blaming Soros for all the woes and sorrows that happened?
Appum: What unfounded theories they attempt to prostitute here. They think as MPs, they need to say something in Parliament just to earn their allowances but such nonsensical analysis like this just show the quality of BN MPs, especially those from East Malaysia.
The US is one of the biggest foreign investors in this country next to Singapore, and when we need them we say nice things about them. It's not that we can't say anything to them being big trading partners, but please make sensible statements.
Stop blaming terrorists, communists or Soro-ists for damaging our nation, when the government is mismanaging our nation's wealth through its corruption, cronyism and racially-based governance.
Jimmy Ng: The Kinabatangan MP just came back from his honeymoon after marrying again? We should encourage BN MPs like him to speak more.
The more they open their mouths, the more they reveal to the whole world that they have nothing ‘upstairs' and thus the more votes Pakatan Rakyat will get come in the next general election.
James_3392: Bung Mokhtar-brand of world politics is only good for coffee shop talk but he has mistaken our Parliment to be another coffee shop. Embarrassing betul (really embarrassing).
Jk7462000: Please don't try to suck up to China on the one hand, but bully your own citizens of Chinese descent on the other.
Enlightened: China and the United States can't be bothered about Malaysia. Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam are more lucrative hubs for them in Southeast Asia. The Umno cult seems to be suffering from delusions of grandeur.
OSAMA: Put Bung Mokhtar into the shoes of the average Egyptian and he will then know what life is there like and whether he will change his mind on the Arab Spring, whether instigated by Soros or not.
Anonymous_3fe4: It's better to shut up and let people think that you are an idiot than to open your mouth and confirmed it.
Ferdtan: Wow, after Bung Mokhtar's marriage to a beautiful actress, he has become an intellectual and a global strategist.
He sees Western conspiracy at our doorstep. He should start writing a book with his theory and it may become a best seller in China and US.
Class 1967: Now you know why Malaysia is lagging behind other Southeast Asian countries. I have not heard anything intelligent from Ah Jib Kor's (PM Najib Razak) cabinet except denials, conspiracy theories, blame games and now China.
Soon they will run short of excuses, and it would be the time for them to go.
Kee Thuan Chye: Bung Mokhtar strikes again! Yet another stupid statement from this MP. What is wrong with Sabahans? Why did they vote for him?
Jaguh: For GE13, there must be an IQ test. Throw in also a pre-qualification exercise to ensure our lawmakers are, at the least, having the right intellectual capabilities to be an MP.
What these three clowns are spewing or spinning demonstrate that they are not aware of international affairs or economics. A Form Five kid can do better. I wonder what they got for SPM?
Slumdog: The standard of debate and speeches in the Parliament is pathetically low from the government's side. MPs make wild, unsubstantiated, baseless comments and accusations without the necessary knowledge, facts or evidence.
Truth and honesty takes second place in their attempts to grandstand. It highlights the low level of intellect and poor caliber of government MPs. These are village idiots, and to think they represent us.
Anonymous_3f68: What has Western powers funding Malaysia got anything to do with stymying China's rise? Bung Mokhtar is such an idiot who does not have any idea about current world affairs.
Now that he has brought this up, it's certainly good to contain rising China in a way of sorts as they have a tendency to bully smaller countries and Spratly Islands in South China Sea is just one of the many thorny issues.
Jedi_Who: A corrupt government like BN is easier to handle because they have a price for everything. Look at Lynas and our defence contracts.
They would have a better chance dealing with BN than another government to leverage against China, if needed.
Ah Hoe: This is a pathetic attempt to arouse Chinese chauvinistic feelings against Malaysiakini and by indirect association, Pakatan.
Guardian: Such 'brilliant minds' coming out with such brilliant excuses for their failures; are they all talking from experience?
Bung has to apple-polish - he's out at the next GE and he's paying back for the help he got from being let off scot-free after committing a syariah offence.
Kota Belud MP Abdul Rahman Dahlan is on the same boat, showing off his ability by attacking the opposition; his seat is also 'no go' for him at the next GE.
And Jempol MP Lilah Yassin, what does he know about market forces and the over-supply of commodities? With so many countries going into oil-palm cultivation, prices are bound to decline further.
Yam Putih: Destabilising the country can also be done via giving MyKads to foreigners for election purposes and running up alarming deficits in our national budget.
Blind Freddo: There is no doubt that insecurity breeds conspiracy theories. And Malaysia has more than its fair share of whackos. As I see it, BN is doing a perfectly good job of destabilising itself without the efforts of 'evil' Western powers.
Boiling Mud: With the poor track record of governance of this country, China has a lot to ponder over before it views Malaysia as a prime target in its sphere of economic influence.
These silly MPs really know how to hone the art of shiok sendiri (praising themselves) to its crudest.
Amused Malaysian: I did not realise that Malaysia was such an important country that "foreign powers", meaning the US, are trying to use us to curb China - delusion is good, at least Bung Mokhtar and gang are happy.
