The DAP is proposing that its vice-chairperson Teresa Kok also holds the post of Selangor political liaison officer, similar to that held by PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.

Lim further proposed in a statement that Kok be accorded equal status and terms of appointment as Saifuddin.

“Teresa’s proposed appointment is to ensure parity and that DAP is an equal partner in the Pakatan Rakyat state government.

“In that respect, PAS should also have one political liaison officer,” the statement reads.

However, state PAS deputy commissioner Khalid Abdul Samad stated that PAS has yet to choose a candidate for the position.
