How can Selangor polls fraud probe undermine BN?

YOURSAY 'The Selangor opposition leader sounds pretty sure the results will undermine BN. So much for feigning innocence over electoral fraud.'

Selangor polls fraud panel waste of time, says BN

your say Aries46: Selangor opposition leader Mohd Shamsudin Lias, considering the discredited EC and the RM6 million worth of indelible ink flushed down the drain, the Selangor government's initiative is well placed and cost only a drop in the ocean comparatively.

True, the existing systems are all stacked in BN's favour and that is why Selangor MB Khalid Ibrahim has set up the state commission to probe electoral disputes. But if your victory was won free and fair, why is the state opposition getting so upset?

Quigonbond: Shamsudin sounds pretty sure the results will undermine BN. So much for feigning innocence over electoral fraud.

Haveagreatday: Yes, I do agree that it is a waste of time and funds. The election petitions will be a more important barometer of fraud, although in Malaysia we can be sure the judicial wing of the Umnoputras will reign supreme in hearing the petitions.

Sarkeethartee: What do you expect Shamsudin to say? "Set up the commission and investigate the fraud quickly? And if there is an element or proof of fraud, then prosecute me and my bosses so that we may pay for our crimes?" Do you expect him to say that?

He should if he thinks there is no hanky-panky whatsoever and that if he is confident that no crime or fraud has been committed. But of course, he won't.

What is coming out of his mouth basically is what he has to say and he has no choice. So what's new? Just let him talk. But we know the real truth.

Timo100: Yes, Shamsuddin, you are correct. No one can touch the BN when it comes to "pure politics" and "how to waste money properly".

That is why the people in Selangor decided to support Pakatan Rakyat so that there is less money "wasted" and less of the BN kind of "politics".

First of all, learn to serve the people honestly, and secondly, kick out all the corrupt and dirty characters in BN immediately. Put the Umno and BN houses in order first. Then, learn to respect the rakyat's intelligence level.

Don't worry, there is nothing to undermine the BN anymore. The people in Selangor already know enough about the BN's antics. We only need the Pakatan government to ensure you pay for your past deeds and to focus on managing the state competently and efficiently, and with accountability.

MockingYou: Shamsuddin, let us put it this way. The only time wasted is to entertain you Umno people at all, who command less than one third of the state seats.

Further, Pakatan at any time is unlike previous BN state governments who wasted no time to plunder the state coffers. Chew on this.

Thana55: Hello, here is a classic opportunity for Umno and the EC to make their case that we had a truly free and fair election. We would expect comments like yours only if you are the guilty party.

What Then: If the allegations of fraud in the 13 th general election are not valid, why should you be upset? You should instead welcome any inquiry to vindicate yourself. But then one should not expect much from the Adun.

Factnot fiction: How stupid - how would one be expected to solve political issues except by political ways? Why are you so worried? If it is about the expenses, then I am sure Selangor residents are prepared to foot the bill to expose the culprits.

KiaSi-SiamSai: Of course, he thinks it's a waste of money, because that money didn't go into Umno's pockets.

PKR: Wan Ahmad's criticism shows he is pro-BN

Mohican: Election Commission (EC) deputy chief Wan Ahmad Wan Omar is as incompetent as he is unprofessional. Hence, his constant outbursts are a sign of a guilt-ridden mind.

He knows very well, and he can truly touch his heart and say that he is guilty as accused, but being a faithless and misguided person, and an arrogant one at that too, he pretends that all is well and the Malaysian public are a bunch of fools.

Hmmmmmmmm: BN has similarly filed election petitions regarding the elections in some of the constituencies and their MPs will be taking their oaths in Parliament. So why didn't the EC deputy chief criticise them as well for being "hypocrites"?

Hermit: When Bersih demanded that the EC demonstrate to the public the usage of the indelible ink, the EC persistently retaliated that they have tested the ink many times and the public could rest assured that the ink would meet its intention.

The EC chairperson even made an undertaking that he guarantees that the ink would last at least seven days. Please Wan Ahmad, do not treat the public like fools, when you have already shown yourself to be one.

Anonymous #22175361: He acts neutral but has been planted by Umno to ensure the election goes in their favour. With this, the election results can be considered void and it's now the rakyat's right to demand what would be the next step/action.

Ali BaBa & 40 Umknown Theives: Wan Ahmad has none of the qualities of an EC head at all. He is merely an Umno guy sitting on the EC panel. He plays the dirty game on behalf of Umno and now speak like Umno leaders do.

Pakatan has no choice but to take the oaths to fulfil the people's aspirations.

Ahmad Said: It appears that Wan Ahmad cannot seem to stop himself from sucking up to BN, to demonstrate his continuing allegiance and loyalty. This is clear to any independent observer.

MockingYou: This EC clown doesn't realise he has crossed the line of partisanship many times over.
