Alvivi duo freed after posting bail, says prison 'not bad'
Sinner:
Alvin Tan and Vivian Lee (Alvivi), do what you please but exercise more caution in what you show or say to the public. Other than that, do not be afraid to fight injustice.
RakyatBiasa: Most Malaysians do not condone what you both did but neither do we accept what you were subjected to. Treat this as a lesson and grow up. Be responsible citizens and respect all cultures and religions.
Odin: Vivian Lee, I have not had a look at your so-called sex video and I do not intend to; sex videos don't interest me. I also have not watched your bak kut teh video; without meaning to sound pompous, I have better things to do.
The thing is, the persecution against you and Alvin is one example of selective action taken against non-Muslims, activists, and those from Pakatan Rakyat.
While I don't agree with what you both have done, I would expect you to not bow down your head but hold it up high - not as a sign of arrogance or disdain, but that of defiance against the gross injustice blatantly practised by the despicable, corrupt government.
Sakit Hati Ku: I did not enjoy your sex stunt but, I take my hat off to your unbowed spirit. Vivian, lift up your head, it is your life and those ‘Allah fearing' retards who criticise you, you can ask them to get stuffed and look in the mirror at themselves first.
Cala: Alvivi, here's a quick assessment. I asked around my friends in the neighbourhood and amongst my family members on your out-of-the-norm conduct, and the way the authorities are treating you. Here is a quick reality check.
Most think that both you, Alvin Tan and Vivian Lee, have been reckless and insensitive in your conduct. But you gain their sympathy by the harsh treatment meted out to you.
You see, as I have said it before, you were the God-sent excuse for the powers-that-be to be hammered right, left and centre. Their traditional supporters love the act of you being punished before any court judgment.
The Umno-led BN regime is seen as the defender of the Malays in special position, the Malay language, and Islam - all in the spirit of ‘The Bargain 1957'. But you are too young to understand this complicated world.
Harapanbaru: The aggressive reactions against Alvin Tan and Vivian Lee reflect more on their persecutors than on the youngsters themselves.
Behold, here are Malaysians who will shout till spit flies out from their mouths to condemn two healthy-spirited fun-loving young people for not being afraid to break a few taboos, while they keep quiet about sultans murdering caddies, ministers murdering mistresses, rogue regimes stealing elections and murdering decency.
Shame on the lot of you ungodly cowards - you deserve whatever's coming to you.
Appum: You can count your lucky stars that the public is looking out for you, you idiots! Try another stupid stunt and you're dead meat. No more sympathy for you.
Do not follow the likes of Perkasa leaders Ibrahim Ali and Zulkifli Noordin. They have to answer to Allah one day.
Jeremy Ng: Denying them bail is unfair but Alvin's post-bail response is equally repulsive. It reflects his non-repentant character.
If found guilty, he deserves the maximum sentence. As for his girlfriend, she should seriously do some soul searching as to whether she is with the right companion.
Fair&Just: Putting on a brave front, aren't you? It could be the calm before the storm. Be prepared to face the music from those supremacist bigots as you have 'hurt' their sensitive feelings, and bright people like you all must learn not to put yourselves at the mercy of all those bigots.
Grit your teeth and bear what those bigots are going to throw at you. Learn from your mistakes, rise up and strive forward again. Do not despair. You are still young.
1Mockery: What is wrong is wrong. I hope both of you have learnt the lesson that you not alone in this world such that you can do whatever you think you want to do.
Old timer: Imposing bail of RM30,000 each is too heavy. After all, these are not hardcore criminals. It shows the injustice being practised in Malaysia.
People committed more serious crimes have been imposed a small bail amount. And we want to claim developed status in 2020...
Labis Guy: I see no reason why Vivian Lee has to lower her head to avoid photographers when her pornographic video had been seen worldwide.
This couple should be kept behind bars and not allowed bail as they have a head with no brains to have hurt other religion.
CiViC: Any other decent country would have sent these two to do community service to set an example. Here in Malaysia, we have convicts, rapist and murderers being set free while Alvivi are treated like terrorists.
Vijay47: I might shake your hands for not being cowed. I might kick your butt for being cows.
