Shiite crackdown is Umno's way of political control
YOURSAY 'Umno-BN has already lost control of the non-Malays and cannot allow further deterioration of control on the Malays, otherwise it will be finished.’
SIS: Syariah police negates gov't's claim to moderation
Plainly:
Sisters in Islam (SIS) is right. We already have the syariah officers and courts in place to deal with such matters. So what's the deal with spending more taxpayers' monies to set up this and that? These are but religious Umno imbeciles indeed.
EvenSteven: Why is there so much hate in religion? Look at the Middle East, there they are killing one another because of sectarian differences. If this is allowed to fester, such hate and violence will soon come to our shores.
We have enough problems as it is and there is no need to create new ones. This anti-Shiism has nought to do with religious zeal but all to do with politics, and that's a shame.
Anonymous_5fb: This is the price you pay for institutionalised Islam. Islamic authorities shouldn't be part of the government machinery. To dismantle this, only Muslim themselves can do it.
Kuala Bear: If you so believe in the Almighty and all wise God, why don't you let him handle the judgement and punishment? Are you worried he can't do it? More likely this is to serve a secular agenda. Are you then not mocking the religion you profess to believe in?
Senior: The government will claim anything that will suit them and enhance their control in the eyes of others. And beware SIS, you are not in their good books, especially when you go against the 'MCP' in Umno Baru.
Kanasai: Is this God-made or man-made? Why does he allow another branch of sect right from the beginning?
Kuala Bear is correct to say that we should let the Almighty to judge. Have those in Umno become the Almighty, especially Zahid, to ensure that they continue to put all Muslims under their thumb?
Umno-BN has already lost control of the non-Malays/Muslims and cannot allow further deterioration of control over the Malays otherwise they will be finished.
This is the only string they have left. Take note my Malay friends, Shiite or Sunni. Be wise and take control of yourselves.
Anonymous_4056 : This Umno government has lost its credibility as it does not walk the talk. With Zahid being a racist and an extremist, things will definitely get worse. It looks like the ultras in Umno are taking complete control with the moderates put on the backburner.
Not Confused: I was led to believe that it is stated quite clearly in the Quran that there is no compulsion in religion.
So how does Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi have the moral or legal authority to allow or disallow any religious practice in Malaysia?
Faith is something between the individual and God. State control over someone's mind is impossible but this fanatical bigot seems to think he has the power of God himself.
Apajadi: The Malaysia government is a ‘mabuk’ government. They always do the opposite of what they say they would do.
The mouth says moderation, but the action is extremism. The mouth says no toll increase, but the action is to hike up the toll. The mouth says 1Malaysia, but the action is 1Melayu. This government is truly insane.
Hill Gett: Why not get 1,500 'syariah police' to monitor 1,500 Shiites, and have these police paid for by Ahmad Zahid himself.
Teng explains 'unpopular' business license fee revision
Wira: Selangor senior exco member Teng Chang Khim, the Selangor government is running a huge surplus. It is politically imprudent to push up any rate at this time because of its effect on inflation.
Your surplus should be used to the best political effect against a spendthrift BN in Putrajaya. Be smart.
CiViC: Politicians will be complaining about the increases, but state managers will praise the move. As to any business owner, it is important to plan revenue increases for the long term and not just make decisions based on politics.
What needs to be done, needs to be done. The uptick is minimal and it's good that it goes with the quantum of the business, the bigger it is, the higher the increase.
This is fair unlike BN which would have waived taxes and fees to the biggest corporations investing and at the same time, impose higher costs on ordinary folks.
Why should the Selangor government act like a cushion and forego its duties for the state just because the federal government is causing a rise in costs for everyone and every business in everything?
Anonnona: Raising licence fees at the same time as you are raising your own salary is probably not a good idea.
