The Education Ministry of is still awaiting the Negeri Sembilan Education Department's explanation on a survey allegedly on the sexual inclinations of pupils of a primary school in Nilai.

Education Minister II Idris Jusoh added that thus far, the ministry has also yet to confirm whether the incident had actually taken place.

"We have yet to receive information from the state (department) on this issue. We have to see what actually happened.

"We have systems and means (to deal with this) including procedures," he said at a press conference in Petaling Jaya this morning after officially launchingthe digital editions of the ministry's 313 textbooks.

Yesterday, two state assemblypersons J Arulkumar (Nilai) and P Gunasekaran (Senawang) had filed complaints at the Negeri Sembilan State Education Department's office in Seremban expressing dismay over the survey.

They said they were informed of the matter by the parents of a 10-year -old pupil last week.

Among others, the children were supposedly queried on whether they masturbate, watched pornographic materials, have homosexual inclinations, have lovers, had pre-marital sex, or used family planning.
