YOURSAY ‘I ,too, ask for forgiveness but my sin is not as weighty as politicians’.’

Muhyiddin: Don't fall for Wan Azizah praying pics

Louis: Not all people dare display of images of themselves praying. Hypocrites definitely will not do it.

On one hand, they ask the poor public to eat kangkung, but on the other, they dine and feast in the best restaurants.

They will appear funny if they are depicted on posters praying. But for PKR candidate Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, she is truly a picture of honesty and serenity in that poster.

Zen: The ‘doa’ picture is a copy cat of PAS' Tok Guru. It helps to attract the people’s sympathy towards the person who asks for forgiveness for  his or her sins.

I, too, ask for forgiveness but my sin is not as weighty as politicians’, who lie and bluff the people on a daily basis.

Tsie Wei Yuan: I trust Wan Azizah over almost any politician in Malaysia. And against Chew Mei Fun, there is no contest. I will be very happy if Chew loses her deposit although I am not a Kajang voter.

Milosevic: Both sides manipulate the public using religion. Corrupt government officials use it, racial extremists thrive on religious paranoia, and even sex addicts use Islam as a cover.

In the end, religion is a private relation between the person and the non-empirical world, and any member of the public's use of religion can only be for foul purposes.

The moral process begins with rational, open discourse. That is how we have always been as an advanced society.

Umno leaders are fearful of openness (witness the farce over MH370) because their purpose is to secure power and want to hide their manipulation and unconstrained self-interest.

The ‘Allah’ issue, the use of fear over fake conversions, or intimation of a Christian plan to take over the country are deliberate lies to gain extra support and votes for a morally bankrupt regime.

Opposition politicians also play religion, selectively using either one religion, or selected aspects of a religion to pose as righteous people. Shame on all of them.

Mushiro: There are many reasons why people point fingers at Umno for many judicial injustices. They include:

1. Altantuya Shaariibuu murderers were freed and strangely PM Najib Razak and his former ADC (aide-de-camp) Musa Safri were never called to testify in court. The attorney-general (AG) conveniently did not appeal the verdict.

2. No one was found guilty in the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) case because it involved BN leaders. The AG again did not appeal the verdict.

3. Anwar's Sodomy II High Court acquittal was appealed by the AG. And the AG used a private lawyer to conduct the appeal.

To BN, sodomy is more important than murders and billions of ringgit in embezzlement. Does it not show that Umno is out to destroy Anwar?

Oriole: DPM Muyiddin Yassin, concentrate on solving the education problems of the nation. Thanks to you and your party, we now have kids with little skills coming out of schools with inflated grades and little learning to show for it.

Chew: Wan Junaidi wrong, rape offends all

Cry, My Beloved Country: Why must suppositions and unsupported claims be presented in a racial format, and that from a deputy minister speaking in Parliament.

It comes across as a dishonest and pathetic attempt to explain away why one group is in the 80% category. The less of such so-called leadership, the better for the country.

Oriole: Too late, MCA candidate Chew Mei Fun. Your friend, party secretary-general Ong Ka Chuan, has just said that this racist clown, Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, does not need to apologise.

Does that mean that MCA condones this behaviour? He has just done your campaign a great deal of damage. Insist on the apology, if you dare.

Let's see if you have what it takes to stand up to these racist comments from Umno that is becoming more frequent. Otherwise, we don't need more MCA ministers, running around like Umno's lapdogs.

Need to Be Fair: Of course, she will not say the minister should withdraw statement and she might even be privately agree with him. Chew is a survivor.

Fair and Open: We do not expect our ministers to communicate correctly and intelligently anymore. The MH370 episode has demonstrated to the world how incompetent our leaders are, from listening, speaking to communicating.

Imagine the PM afraid of facing an international media while with domestic media, Home Minister Zahid Hamidi, can display his full anger and extremism.

Onyourtoes: Chew Mei Fun, if there is one thing I can tell you: it is this kind of racist idiots you have to support and work with if you are elected.

Now tell me, which idiot would do that?
