PKR's Johor Baru division chief Akmal Nasir was called to the Dang Wangi district police headquarters at 3pm today to have his statement recorded under the Sedition Act.
This is over a probe on director of strategy Rafizi Ramli's book about PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim's Sodomy II trial.
Akmal's questioning lasted for 40 minutes, from 3pm to 3.40pm, Rafizi, who accompanied Akmal to the police station, told Malaysiakini .
The Johor leader was questioned for his role in the team that operates Kempenrakyat.com , an online bookstore that is selling the book for RM10 a copy.
A month ago Rafizi himself was also questioned at his service centre.
He said he wrote the book immediately after Anwar was convicted and sentenced to a five-year jail term by the Court of Appeal on March 7 this year.
The book basically observes all that has happened in court over the course of trial, from the High Court till the Court of Appeal, he said.
The book is titled 'Reformasi 2.0: Facts of the Anwar Ibrahim case: Where is the integrity of the court?'
Akmal is one of several PKR members who had promoted the book.
He also serves as the director of the National Oversight and Whistleblowing Centre (Now), a non-profit NGO where Rafizi is the executive director.
