MBgate exposes PAS as unreliable Pakatan partner
YOURSAY 'How can two-thirds majority gov’t be brought to the brink of collapse?'
'BN supporting Khalid more than its own MBs'
Quigonbond: DPM Muhyddin Yassin may have shot from hip again. Declaring support for Khalid Ibrahim is as good as saying Umno has turned the Selangor MB over. Khalid is now an official turncoat.
Swipenter: It is because PAS is giving Umno Baru this great opportunity to instigate a possible break up of Pakatan Rakyat. The actions of PAS in this MBgate is exploited to the fullest by Umno Baru and PAS cannot deny it.
Is PAS shaking hands with Umno Baru behind the backs of DAP and PKR? The answer to that question only you and Allah know. But we mere mortals, can only make an intelligent guess whether that is possible.
Keturunan Malaysia: Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad is right, and that's the more reason why PAS should close ranks with PKR and DAP fast and not drag, or be seen to be dragging its feet, on the issue.
PAS will be the net loser should there be a snap election and even moving forward after that.
Ade007: Khalid Samad, you are absolutely right. Selangor used to be BN's cash cow. Hopefully PAS will be aware of the true colours of Khalid the MB and stand by Pakatan.
Longjaafar: PAS actually has shown some wisdom in not resigning. If their state representatives resign, then there will surely be a dissolution of the state assembly, and Pakatan, especially PKR, is at its weakest now.
Ace: Whatever the case may be, it will be very difficult to forgive PAS. How can a two-thirds majority government be brought to the brink of collapse? It is through the treachery of one of Pakatan's own 'partners'.
How can a partner not support its own coalition and let its team be brought to its knees by its enemies? Have they never heard of the saying “through thick and thin”?
Whatever the differences and misgivings, PAS should have stood by PKR and DAP in this hour of need and thrash out the unhappiness later.
Everybody expects that much and nothing less from a partner.
Pisasu 7: This time it's not Umno's fault but PAS' for dragging its feet, so don't go blaming Umno - PAS should have a good look in the mirror for having fooled the non-Malay voters in Selangor.
Ketuanan Rakyat: Dear Khalid Samad, unfortunately your party is helping Umnoputras by not being a reliable partner in Pakatan. If PAS has been truly a committed partner in Pakatan, this problem would have been solved much earlier.
You, Khalid Samad, are one of the moderate MPs PAS has. If PAS cannot agree with PKR and DAP that the present MB be replaced by Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, it would only mean PAS is out of Pakatan.
Please gather all the moderate PAS leaders to leave PAS to work with Pakatan for the benefit of all Malaysians.
Cocomomo: PAS should move swiftly to withdraw their support for Khalid so that Pakatan can move forward. PAS actions so far has been to the detriment of Pakatan.
SusahKes: Khalid Samad, you seem like the principled and nice guy here, but you have to voice the reservations you have made to those in your own party. Forget about Umno-BN - why try to convince us of what we know all along?
It is PAS that has shown itself to be most disappointing in this crisis. I trust you understand, the damage is already done.
Proarte: If PKR had from the outset been honest about the real motive behind the ‘Kajang Move’, then it would have avoided a lot of self-inflicted damage.
It made de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim, party chief Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, strategy director Rafizi Ramli and deputy Azmin Ali look like power hungry politicians trying to feather their own nests.
The rakyat were led to believe that Anwar would be acting as the 'peacemaker' between warring factions in PKR i.e. the pro-Khalid group versus the pro-Azmin group.
As things have panned out, it would appear that Khalid was a BN mole who was deliberately allowing Selangor services to run down in order to undermine Pakatan.
His supposed financial prudence was not due to good management of resources but simply because he failed to spend money allocated to maintain the social fabric of the state.
It appears he could have been hoarding a 'nest egg' for Umno to plunder at the opportune moment. Why did PKR hide this fact from us during the Kajang by-election? Being economical with the truth has damaged PKR and by extension, Pakatan.
GMK: Rightly or wrongly, once you go against the order of the party, you are traitor. Khalid Ibrahim should go.
