Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali will meet with Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah tomorrow to submit the names of his new executive council (exco) line-up.
Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali will meet with Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah tomorrow to submit the names of his new executive council (exco) line-up.
Azmin said decisions made after today's meeting with PKR, PAS and DAP representatives would be given to the sultan tomorrow.
"I will meet with the sultan on Thursday and the swearing-in for the exco members will be on Friday," he said.
Azmin was appointed as the new Selangor menteri besar yesterday. Today is his first day in office.
The terms of the former Selangor exco members will be automatically terminated with the resignation of former Selangor menteri besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.
Khalid ( left) had sacked the DAP and PKR exco members in a tit-for-tat when he too was sacked by his party for refusing to resign from his post.
Four PAS exco members stayed on with him until he resigned.
According to the state constitution, a menteri besar should have at least four exco members to administer the state government.
After the 13th general election, Pakatan had 10 exco members - four from PAS, three from DAP, and three from PKR.
Azmin has yet to reveal whether he will retain the exco line-up that was appointed under Khalid.
