Isma, what's Umno been doing these 57 years?

YOURSAY ‘It is people in Umno and their cronies that are feeling threatened.’

Isma: Malays feeling threatened a ‘healthy trait’

Mushiro: Ikatan Muslimin Malaysia (Isma) leader Abdullah Zaik Abdul Rahman said that Malays have been threatened for a long time. if this was true then what was Umno, the so-called saviour and protector of the Malays doing? Are Umno cowards and traitors to have allowed the Malays to be threatened? Or was Umno busy amassing corrupted wealth for themselves until they have neglected the Malays?

Isma should now encourage the Malays to support PKR Malays and PAS Malays who will totally protect the Malays and the Malays will not be let down and played out any more.

RZC: With friend like Isma the Malays don't need enemies. Isma will be the Malays’ downfall unless the Malays wake up and see how they have been and are being treated for the last 57 years by the government who, they stupidly insist, champions their rights.

Fairnsquare: What has happened is that while some of the Malays who have been used to handouts and are waiting, the others, including many progressive Malays, have moved on and become successful. Their non-dependence on any assistance from political parties was reason for their success. They studied and worked hard, while some listened to these backward mentally deranged political NGOs made them focus on a non-existent 'enemy.'

So many of my Malay friends and colleagues have progressed on their own merits. These deranged political NGOs even condemn an internationally famed learned laureate like A Samad Said (Pak Samad). Isma and Perkasa's survival is based on false threats and many Malays are realising this very quickly.

Shibboleth: He talked about “colonisation of the mind” that Malays are suffering from". Can't agree with him more. The elite has successfully "bonsaified" his mind.

Casey919: Of course it is a healthy trait. They are beginning NOT to subscribe to the Umno strategy of keeping them poor, stupid and backward in order to keep them in power. The world can only move forward with positive energy.

Anonymous_1399517796: Hello, if Malays now had been colonised, then blame it on your ancestors lah, stupid! Your ancestors were so weak that the Portuguese, Dutch and British colonised Nusantara mah!

Proarte: The average Malaysian is materially far better off than they were a generation ago, Malays included. The Chinese and other races contribute significantly to our economy which in turn is responsible for financing the nation's workforce. How would Malays survive if they have no jobs, won't they then have real reason to feel 'threatened'?

So Malays must be grateful that unemployment in this country is below the world average and that non-Malays are contributing significantly to their livelihood and sense of security.

The only Malays who feel 'insecure' are those 'Manja Melayu' types who are represented by Umno oligarchs and their proxies Isma, Perkasa, Abim and the PAS ulama who thrive on Malay 'insecurity' so that they can continue to rule and plunder this nation in the name of protecting the Malay race and Malay Islam.

Ouch: Paranoid delusions are not healthy at all, ask any of the psychiatric doctors. Colonised now? By whom? Malays, as they are the current majority race in Malaysia. Land taken, well that might be true.

The people who are taking their land are other rich warlord Malays. If there is one common enemy that the Malay have, it is greed and corruption. And of course, the Malays that are in the upper class that is getting all the money via corruption.

Ksn: For once, it appears that Isma has said something sensible i.e. the Malay mind is colonised. Yes the Malay mind, the Umno Baru members and their supporters, that is. But most Malays have realised that affliction and with better education, exposure, reading, etc, the Malays are fighting that colonisation as the last general election (GE) proved. The next GE will prove that they are they have thrown off that yoke. Let us wait and see.

Baiyuensheng: Let Pakatan run the country for a change, they should be able to come up with more effective policies to elevate Malaysia to greater height without associating policies with race. Upgrading everybody without holding back those with more passion in success. We are not a communist country, of which Isma and Perkasa and Umno are trying to emulate...

James_3392: When a Malay was born 57 years ago, Umno had begun to tell his father the Malay race was under all sorts of threats, therefore they need Umno be the government to protect them. Now this Malay is 57 years old, he most likely has children in the 30s and grandchildren about to go to school. Umno still tells him the Malay are under macam macam threats.

Now, what has Umno been doing all these 57 years in control? Sampai bila the Malays must bear with the incompetent Umno that for the last three generations could not improve the competency of the Malay race and allow them to be under perpetual threat, is this not as good a reason for Umno to go?

Let Anwar Ibrahim, Rafizi Ramli, Khalid Samad, Azmin Ali, Nurul Izzah Anwar, etc to govern, then the Malay race will become more competent and the threat will be no more.

David: It is not the Malay masses that are feeling threatened, it is people in Umno and their cronies that are feeling threatened. Scum like you and Ibrahim Ali are allegedly getting paid by Umno to do the scare tactics and make sure that your fellow ignorant Malays are scared of their own shadows.

Umno has been using the Malays in the evil name of ketuanan Melayu to remain in power so that they can continue to rape and plunder the country while leaving crumbs like brim for the foolish kampong folks.

Playfair: No one threatened the ‘Malays’. The ‘Malay’ elites of all periods colluded with whoever they wanted to - to stay in power. This game is still being played especially by people like you who want to be the new entrants into the elite hegemony.

FutureMalaysians: Fairness, justice, peace, prosperity are all diminishing in our country after 57 years of independence. Looks like our former PM has better hearing, I think.

MingXiang: I have to hand it to this guy, he has a fertile imagination. Must be that thick vein of manure running between his ears.
