An Umno Youth forum on the Sodomy II case took a turn for the lurid when X-rated details not mentioned in open court during the seven-year trial was revealed by prosecutor Muhammad Shafee Abdullah.

There were red faces and pin-drop silence when Shafee described the "foreplay" between Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim and his former aide Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan.

Shafee got into graphic details including to say that Anwar had "pinched Saiful's nipples".

He said this at a packed forum in Kelana Jaya, which was also streamed live on Akhi's website.

The lawyer also recalled that Anwar had asked Saiful: "Can I f**k you today?"

This is a loaded question, he said, because it implied that the duo had done this before while Saiful admitted that he had sex with Anwar a total of nine times.

Details of the sex act was never heard in open court. Saiful's testimony on it was given in camera during the trial.

However, Shafee did not distinguish which of the testimony he cited was from open court or in camera.

Dominant-subservient

He also spoke of Anwar's preference when it came to condoms and lubricants, while detailing the act in sequence.

"He (Saiful) did not want to wash his anus because he was so angry," he said.

To a question on why a young man like Saiful did not resist Anwar if he did not want to have sex, he said Saiful had to "give in", due to subservience to his boss.

Saiful was also not charged for consensual sodomy because charging him would discourage others in similar circumstances from lodging reports.

Anwar was found guilty of consensual sodomy and sentenced to five years in jail by the Federal Court on Feb 10.

The verdict was condemned internationally with critics saying it is a political conspiracy.

Speaking before Shafee, Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin said BN will no longer keep silent on the conspiracy charge.

The youth wing had thus invited Shafee to speak to “bring the truth”.
