PMTG PAUH PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli, as the all-knowing strategist, is so brilliant that he creates non-existent scenarios, Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said today.

It was obvious that sarcasm was evident in Zahid's response to Rafizi’s claim that the BN has been making late night door-to-door visits in Permatang Pauh.

“I did not get any information (on Rafizi’s claim).

“Rafizi is certainly an all-knowing strategist; very intelligent, one of the most brilliant and one who is able to strategise.

“That's why he speculates things that had never existed, because those things only exist in his mind,” he said.

Zahid to Rafizi: Just do the best

Zahid added that Rafizi, although brilliant, always thought badly of others.

“Just do the best, if that can ensure that your party wins,” he said.

The Malaysian Insider yesterday quoted Rafizi as saying that the late-night visits raised suspicions among voters and as such, he wanted the Election Commission (EC) to look into the matter.

The Pandan MP said he had received numerous complaints from the party grassroots that the BN had switched its tactics, opting for the night visits instead of the usual ceramah and talks.

“Such clandestine visits obviously beg the question if money, bribes or offerings of incentives are taking place in exchange for votes in the election on Thursday,” Rafizi ( left ) is quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, Zahid said it was less than 48 hours before Permatang Pauh voters determined whether they still wanted to remain in a “dark political cave” or opt for the “light” outside.

Claiming that he found a marked difference this time around, Zahid said that many were “sick” of rhetorics (from the opposition coalition).

“Many are sick of what they are currently experiencing, all the rhetorics. It’s clear they had to pay for it dearly in the last seven years,” he said, citing the Permatang Pasir by-election in 2009.

Apart from the two Independent candidates, PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail also faces Barisan Nasional’s Suhaimi Sabudin in Permatang Pauh by-election on Thursday.
