Outraged by court's decision on paedophile

YOURSAY ‘Sometimes our judges are as dumb as they come.’

Unicef disturbed by Sibu child rape acquittal

Jaded: The fact that he was in a toilet getting a hand job by a minor is a crime. The fact that he then touched the private part of a minor smeared with his semen should be considered a crime.

The fact that courts can overlook these facts had occurred to a minor and corroborated by the pedophile should be enough to prosecute him and yet he got away scot free.

Where is the justice? It just doesn't make sense. If a person takes pictures of women in toilets, that is deemed a crime and yet one can get away when it's a hand job by a minor. It's not even a crime to penetrate her with a finger.

Indeed, there is no more hope for Malaysian courts.

Lim Chong Leong: This is an outrage of the court's modesty for sure. He used his sperm-smeared finger to penetrate her? And the girl is Virgin Mary and the child is the second coming? And their names are not on the hotel register?

As if a devious heinous person about to commit rape on a minor would openly register their names like a robber would first lodge a police report of his soon-to-be crime? This is the standard of our judiciary.

Haveagreatday: That there is a need to revamp the laws of our country based on this case is obvious. But, I wonder if there is the political leadership to do so.

The Attorney-General’s Chambers? Those chaps are too busy pleasing their political masters to do what is needed.

Malaysia Ku: The Appeal Court judges should take a course from Unicef on child abuse. Just maybe they will learn something.

The Islamic State is also all about sex, sex, sex and sexual slavery. Do we want to go down that road?

Hearty Malaysian: Shocking is the least we can say on this verdict.

Man escapes rape charge as he ‘used finger’

Angelababy: Surely the facts found by the trial court based on the evidence adduced should not be simply disturbed by an appellate court.

If the victim said that the old man inserted his dick inside her, that is rape! Surely the examining doctor should be able to say that mere semen-tainted finger can cause pregnancy.

Was that the defence from the start? If so, why was it not addressed by the prosecution and considered by the trial court?

Surely experts should have been called to rebut such claim by the old man.

Lonely MidnightSun: So digital rape is allowed in Malaysia. Way to go Malaysian judges. What a sound judgement.

Peacemaker: This judgment is a travesty of justice. The judges have failed the duty cast upon them when they took their oaths of judicial office.

It does not take a genius to recognise that the judges made a very, very serious error in their decision.

This is a difference between giving a judgment according to law and a judgment according to justice.

Anonymous #559621516: Look at UK, they jailed a young man for five years for possession of child pornography but we let off an old man.

Wayan: Don't blame the courts. Ask the public prosecutor for an explanation instead.

Haveagreatday: I can only throw up my hands in disgust. This is too blatant an example where our man-made laws have failed that poor girl. Does the girl, or her parents, have any option for civil redress?

Headhunter: Sometimes our judges are as dumb as they come. So are the three judges saying that it is okay to ‘finger rape’?

Would they still make the same judgement if it is their own daughter or granddaughter who was abused and get impregnated?

This is a miscarriage of justice at its worst. This case must be appealed by the attorney-general for a retrial.

'Cop threatens to rape detainee, sells video footage'

Negarawan: "Do you want me to rape you? In this room, there is only you and I. This room has a camera and a microphone, if I sell (the video), I will become rich," a police officer had allegedly threatened Maisara Amira Mohamed Asmadi, a participant of the anti-Goods and Services Tax rally on May 1.

Mr IGP (inspector-general of police), could we draw your attention temporarily from your laborious efforts to frame a charge against the Tabung Haji whistleblowers?

Please check how many Acts were violated in this threat made by your police officer, and what are your plans to bring back integrity and the rakyat's trust in the police force and your goodself?

If it is not asking too much of your extremely precious time from hunting down the whistleblowers, could you investigate if this police officer had committed rape and sexual assault on previous defenseless female detainees?

We hope that you can carry out these investigations before the police officer takes a long holiday in Australia. By the way, have you heard of the IPCMC (Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission)?

Optimist: The interrogation room has an active microphone and camera (which should be the standard operating procedure, SOP).

If so, the alleged threat should be on record and it will be a snap to check the veracity of the claim. Or will this be another similar case like that of the missing data in the immigration records of the late Altantuya Shaariibuu.

Anonymous_1371547149: As per our home minister, this is not a crime because it only a threat .
