If PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang were to solve his problems with DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang, he will do it privately.

Hadi said this when asked to respond to the PAS Muslimat wing which had expressed hope for him and Lim ( photo, right ) to set aside their differences in order to improve ties in Pakatan Rakyat.

“Personal matters should be solved privately,” he said simply, in a press conference after his policy speech at the party’s 61st muktamar today.

Former PAS Muslimat deputy chief Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud yesterday said the two leaders should sit together to find an amicable solution to the current problems faced.

“If that doesn’t work, then the PAS Muslimat wing can be the third party in efforts to solve the problems,” Siti Mariah said yesterday.

Meanwhile, when asked to comment on DAP which did not send any representative to the muktamar, Hadi said it was DAP’s decision.

“It’s up to DAP. You should ask DAP (on the party’s absence); don’t ask me.

“We have invited all to come to our muktamar. You can see that PKR came,” he said, in reference to PKR deputy president Azmin Ali who attended the muktamar today.

'Delegates will decide on working with DAP'

Asked on PAS ulama wing which had unanimously approved a motion urging the party's central body to terminate its working relationship with DAP, Hadi said it was simply a motion.

“It’s a motion, not yet a decision.

“The motion will be forwarded to the syura council and PAS’ central leadership for a decision to be made.

“Anyone can make motions,” he added.

Asked further whether PAS will continue to be in Pakatan after the muktamar, Hadi stressed that a decision had yet to be made.

“The muktamar has not decided. It is just a motion; it has yet to be debated,” he said.

Asked for his view on the motion, Hadi simply said that it was proof of “democracy in PAS”.

To a question on whether he agreed with the motion, Hadi instead said that he was leaving it to the delegates to decide.
