'DAP like a woman, reluctant to divorce PAS'
PAS Youth chief Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz has likened the DAP to a woman, because of the party's "reluctance" to divorce PAS.
As such, Nik Abduh said, DAP should "be a man" and cut off ties with the Islamist party.
"They seem like they are confident and truly brave, but they kept on pressuring PAS to cut ties with them. It's like they are not confident to divorce PAS," he said in a Facebook post last night.
"I have come realise that DAP is like a woman and PAS is like a man. Women can't divorce men, that's why (DAP) keeps on asking for fasakh (annulment of marriage).
"Come on lah, DAP, be a man, too. Choose. Be a gentleman. Cool like PAS or just be honest, reject PAS," he said.
'And don't act indecently'
Nik Abduh also told the DAP not to act indecently by "eloping with a virgin".
"Pity the virgin (Persatuan Ummah Sejahtera Malaysia or PasMa) being condemned," he said.
The PAS muktamar last week approved a motion for the party to sever its ties with the DAP.
Following this, Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng ( photo ), who is also DAP secretary-general, said PAS members who hold posts in the Penang government should tender their resignations.
Defeated PAS leaders Mohamad Sabu and Mujahid Yusof Rawa have since resigned from their posts in the Penang government, saying it was principled that they did so.
PAS has argued that the motion to sever ties with the DAP came after the socialist party cut its ties with PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang for tabling a Private Member's Bill on hudud in Parliament.
The muktamar last week also saw the progressive faction in the party completely purged, save for Mazlan Aliman.
PasMa, on the other hand, will make a decision at a meeting tomorrow on whether to establish itself as a political party.
