A NGO leader has revealed an excerpt from a documentary that purportedly proves Sarawak Report editor Claire Rewcastle-Brown had worked with Lester Melanyi.

Ramesh Rao said the documentary was on Sarawak Report and sister organisation Radio Free Sarawak .

The video depicted Rewcastle-Brown and Lester sitting together.

"This video was taken down. This showed how she and Lester (had once) worked together," Ramesh ( photo ) told a press conference today.

Rewcastle-Brown had previously denied that Lester worked for Sarawak Report but acknowledged that he had a brief stint with Radio Free Sarawak .

She also branded Lester's allegations as "ravings of the mentally unbalanced bankrupt" and is mulling legal action against him and BN strategic communications director Abdul Rahman Dahlan.

Lester, in a video confession, had accused Sarawak Report of fabricating documents related to 1MDB to smear Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

He also implicated several opposition leaders.

Ramesh had filed a police report based on the video confession, which was then highlighted by Rahman.

Meanwhile, Rahman took a swipe at those attacking Lester's credibility, including focusing on his status as a bankrupt.

He posted an image on Twitter to show how detractors did not criticise two others who also claimed that the documents were tampered.

This included Thai police spokesperson Lt-Gen Prawut Thavornsiri and Protection Group International managing director Brian Lord, who was a former deputy director of CyberSecurity and Strategy of UK Government Communications.
