PAS hopes Pak Lah's men in cabinet do what's right
PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man has urged Abdullah Ahmad Badawi's supporters in cabinet to do what's right for the country.
In a press release today, Tuan Ibrahim said at present, apart from Khairy Jamaluddin, other cabinet ministers were busy defending Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak instead of administering the country.
"To Abdullah's team in Najib's cabinet, don't allow the Ringgit to fall until RM4 is equivalent of US$1 to act like Khairy.
"I urge Abdullah and the new cabinet to prioritise the people and the country," said Tuan Ibrahim.
Khairy had been consistently urging the authorities to expedite their probe on 1MDB and recently criticised the transfer of two MACC officials.
PM's massage skills?
Tuan Ibrahim added that Najib should go on leave now and perform the umrah (pilgrimage) in order to allow cabinet and the authorities to perform their duties unimpeded.
"This will allow the 1MDB probe to be completed, which can possibly clear Najib's name swiftly, since he believes he didn't do anything wrong," said Tuan Ibrahim.
Meanwhile, former PAS publicity chief Mahfuz Omar has urged Najib to respond to whistleblower website Sarawak Report, which has claimed that RM2.6 billion transfer to Najib might have been more than a donation.
"Does Najib possesses massage skills or prepares massage services for a Middle Eastern prince, resulting in a RM2.6 billion payment?
"I hope Najib can share his ideas, experiences and services which can help other Malaysians obtain a high income," said Mahfuz.
