Anwar Ibrahim has come under fire for accusing the government of "abusing" his family by among others, restricting family visits.
In an article, MyKMU.net said the allegation does not make sense and is childish.
Furthermore, the blog stated Anwar is not on vacation and must therefore adhere to the prison rules.
"Anwar must realise he is now a prisoner after having been found guilty of sodomising his (former) aide and is serving a prison term.
"He is not a political prisoner or normal individual who is free to meet anyone," it stated.
The article stated while Anwar can "play" with the emotions of his supporters with such claims, the fact is that he has been extended numerous privileges.
"This includes being the only prisoner who is free to make media statements or occasionally come out of prison on the excuse of having a case in court," it added.
Anwar has always claimed that the charge against him was fabricated by his political rivals, but the government denies this.
Earlier today, the former opposition leader, who is serving a five-year prison term, accused Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi of abusing his family.
Prior to that, his daughter and PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah said prison restrictions increased following claims of a plot to topple Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.
