'Hadi, placard protest was in no way uncivil'
YOURSAY | ‘You'd rather they throw shoes? Criticism is part of a mature democracy.’
Why no RM2.6b placards? 'Because PAS is civil'
Not Confused:
The parliamentary protest was in no way uncivil. PAS just has no stomach for demonstrating its opinion on such things.
It has no right to be involved in the national government if they do not support criticism of the ruling parties since criticism, in its many forms, is part and parcel of a mature democracy.
Does it seriously believe that behaving in a "civil" manner will make an iota of difference? Members from BN hurl much worse comments at the opposition, in particular at the female members.
Hope: Let PAS be. There is no point to keep on talking about them. Just make sure to do the right thing in the coming GE14.
Mark Anthony: You would rather they throw shoes?
Ib: PAS has lost its moral compass after Nik Aziz Nik Mat passed away. They are the only ones in the world that protest by sitting down and keeping silent.
RCZ: Isn't holding placards an absolutely civilised type of protest? Does he advocate red shirt type of rallies instead?
PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang is not consistent in his actions. How to run a country like that?
Anonymous$&@?: PAS civil? What a joke coming from a party that is dead bent on chopping heads or hands.
Keturunan Malaysia: Abdul Hadi, you and your supporters are not civilised and I am being pretty civilised when I say that.
Kudaku Lari: Hadi is still looking the four witnesses to confirm if Premier Najib Abdul Razak had indeed put the RM2.6 billion into his account.
He is working hard to find them. So all of us need to be patient.
CQ Muar: Hello, Abdul Hadi, are you implying those who display placards as a show of protest are uncivilised?
If that's what you think, then demonstrators the world over who have done so are not civil but childish.
To you and your party members it is considered as taboo, so that was your justification for sitting down and not doing anything, whilst the other opposition MPs flashed those ‘Mana RM2.6 billion’ placards?
Democrat: You have been smitten with Najib and Umno. What is uncivil in holding up placards? You are in the opposition. Behave like one.
EmLaw: Hadi believes in civil opposition to Umno and BN but has no issue at all in being totally abusive and uncouth to his PAS own members who question him, and to PKR leaders who civilly disagree with his extremist actions and erratic behaviour. What rubbish and hypocrisy.
Odysseus: Civility means skipping Pakatan Rakyat presidential meetings and not honouring agreements made in the meeting?
Just a Malaysian: Public stoning is very civil. So is chopping hands off. But holding placards to protest corruption is not.
Unity government with Umno is history, says Hadi
Mojo Jojo: Your party secretary-general had already declared that it is all right to form two or more political coalitions.
This implies that both you and the political party that you lead have no qualms working with entities from both sides of the political divide.
If you could easily betray your former Pakatan allies in the past, who else would you betray?
No one with a rational mind should ever allow forked-tongued individuals like yourself into any levels of public office, much less the all-important position of prime minister.
One can only imagine the horrors that await us with you as head of the Malaysian government.
Hope: Anyone believed in what he just said? Abdul Hadi and gang knows lots of PAS members will not accept a unity government and as for the support of non-Muslim and progressive Malay votes, they can forget about it in GE14.
Anonymous #05023297: With him still at the helm - forget it. He is as much a flipper as Najib. Hadi and his band of ulama will change their tune when it suits them.
All for the glory of themselves, under the guise of their race and religion. There can be no room for this type of religious politics in a multi-cultural, multi-racial Malaysia.
The Analyser: Just how civilised do you think hudud is? And could you please supply me with a list of civilised or even democratic Islamic countries?
We just want a civilised and ethical democratic process alongside our constitutional monarchy.
Hcleong: It was only a few months ago, in your general assembly, the motion was passed to cut all ties with DAP. Now you want to work with DAP again?
Game Changer: Hadi is trying to get back to PKR's good side. Sorry brother, too late.
Malaysians have seen how treacherous you were in the past several months. You are the one person the opposition parties should stop meeting.
