Umno parliamentarian Nazri Abdul Aziz has brushed off any such "air of panic” as claimed by DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang, over Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak’s decision to summon BN MPs to his official residence last night.

Lim - in a statement today - said that there is now an air of panic in Putrajaya as a result of the Citizens’ Declaration which was signed by former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad and several notable opposition and NGO representatives.

He added that this was why Najib had summoned BN MPs for the pre-council meeting, which had - in the past - been held on either the eve or the morning of the new parliamentary session, not two days in advance.
