Parking fees in central KL go up 150pct

Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has increased parking fees in the central business district (CBD), including Bukit Bintang, Sri Hartamas, Solaris Mont Kiara and Bangsar, by 150 percent.

 


The parking charge for the first hour has increased from 80 sen to RM2, while the rate for the subsequent hours is now RM3 per hour. Parking the whole day may now cost as much as RM32.

S'gor PAS reps back ceasefire, Tuan Ibrahim defers to Hadi

All 13 Selangor PAS elected representatives support the call by PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man for a ceasefire among all the opposition parties, to focus on toppling BN.

However, Tuan Ibrahim said this is his personal view and should not be construed to mean he wants to join Pakatan Harapan.

 

 

Urged by Amanah to quit PAS, Tuan Ibrahim said he has no issues working with PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang.

The PAS number two also said Malaysian politics will be calmer if Amanah, a PAS splinter party, dissolves.

 

 

Meanwhile, Hadi said amending the Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act 1965 (Act 355) as proposed in his Private Member's Bill would make non-Muslims favour syariah law.

This is because they will see that Islam is fair and just, Hadi said.

TMJ accuses FAM of graft, neglecting players' welfare

Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) football club owner Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim said four JDT players quit the national squad because they sustained injuries and their welfare were not cared for.

He also accused the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) of graft and being monopolised by businessmen.

FAM denied the allegations and told the JDT players to submit formal letters of resignations with reasons for quitting if they still want to leave the squad.

FAM said of the four players who sustained injuries during training, only two were from JDT. It also denied graft allegations.
