We were busy, claims Guan Eng on absence at post-landslide dialogue

Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng today admitted that his absence, as well as that of other DAP representatives’, in a dialogue on the recent floods and deadly landslide in the state, was due to their busy schedule.

“We had some activities, some state functions to attend. Sunday is the busiest day,” he said in a press conference at the DAP headquarters in Kuala Lumpur today.

Asked why the Penang state government did not send a representative to the dialogue, Lim again said they were all busy, save for one state assemblyperson.

“If you write to (prime minister) Najib (Abdul Razak), but he could not attend, do you want to say it is his fault? You have to see his schedule,” said Lim...
