Follow the 'clean horse', PKR lawmaker tells Husni

Pointing to various unresolved corruption scandals, Sungai Petani MP Johari Abdul has told Tambun MP Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah to follow a "clean horse" rather than a corrupt one.

This came after Husni invoked a Chinese metaphor in Parliament saying that he is proud to be following "one horse" in reference to Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, in contrast to Pakatan Harapan's six "horses" (leaders).

The six are opposition leaders Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Muhyiddin Yassin, Anwar Ibrahim, Lim Guan Eng, Lim Kit Siang and Mohamad Sabu, who Husni said would not be able to unite to bring a better future for Malaysia.

His speech also praised Najib's anti-corruption initiatives and claimed that Najib would leave a zero-corruption legacy.

Johari slammed Husni's claims as being disconnected from reality.

"Based on the 2016 Corruption Perception Index, Malaysia's performance is worsening from the 54th position to the 55th position out of 176 countries. Moreover, there is still a lot of corruption that has yet to be dealt with," Johari said...
