'Extremist' Jamal not fit to challenge Azmin, says MB's aide

Clever Voter: Sungai Besar Umno chief Jamal Yunos, in the eyes of his Umno comrades, is regarded as a hero who dares to open his mouth and is willing to break the rules.

He is no idiot when it comes to seeking attention. Both his EQ and IQ are higher than many in Parliament.

While we may regard him as a clown, there are thousands who will vote for him. After all, as someone who is good at attracting attention, surely there are many who love him. He couldn't do worse than Selangor Umno chairperson Nor Omar.

Well, no one can stop fools like Jamal from contesting. This is a free and a democratic country, so go and stand for election. It will only cost a couple of a thousand ringgit and you can show to the whole world your stupidity.

Truthseeker: Goldee, Malaysia does not qualify as a free and democratic country. BN is confident only due to gerrymandering.

As for contesting, anyone without criminal records and who has not been declared bankrupt can participate as long as they can afford the deposit.

Boeyks: Sell fish, yes! Cheap prices? When is he coming to Taman Tun Dr Ismail market? Don’t just claim to be selling fish and then don’t turn up like what he did at the anti-kleptocracy rally. At least keep your word.

I'm sad that Umno which used to be run professionally has come to this level. Probably they know that they not going to win in the next general elections after all. Betul kah, Najib?

Retired_SJ: Sure, it's very easy for all these opposition leaders to say that Jamal is "unqualified" to be a wakil rakyat. Of course, I do agree but who's to say that Azmin is so much better?

We already gave PKR so many years to improve things in Selangor but they haven't done much because they are always busy focusing on Anwar Ibrahim, fighting with each other and pointing fingers constantly at the government.

Then what's the point of us voting for them? This menteri besar's assistant will, of course, say that Jamal is not worthy to contest but then who is worthy? In our country, any kind of no-brain person can be an MP - just look at Parliament.

What is so "moderate" about Pakatan Harapan anyway? They have a lot of religious fanatics there too, just like the government. I just pity those who vote because they have no one worthy to choose from.

Hamzah Paiman: It's sad that Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak is seen to be in cahoots with Jamal who has had a string of criminal offences stacked up against him.

This is indeed sending the wrong signals to the younger generation and our nation which Najib is leading - that it is good to break the law. It is a sad day for sincere Umno supporters like myself.
