Zaid lodges police report against S'gor Umno, Noh Omar

Former minister Zaid Ibrahim has lodged a police report against Selangor Umno and its chief Noh Omar over their reported threat to gather outside the Selangor palace this Sunday.

“I take a serious view of Selangor Umno’s action and assume that they have committed the act of criminal intimidation under Section 503 of the Penal Code,” said the senior lawyer turned politician in his report lodged at the Damansara police station this morning.

Zaid also noted that the gathering was planned to demand action against him, in reaction to his tweeted remarks on Selangor ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah’s rebuke of former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad...
