Nazri cites different reason for scrapping Imams

Tourism and Culture Minister Nazri Abdul Aziz said the shortlived Integrated Manasik Monitoring System (Imams) umrah visa system was abandoned because of the rates imposed, and not because the managing company had a non-Muslim top executive.

Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi however said he smelled something rotten with regards to the company's non-Muslim chief operating officer.

Daim questioned authenticity of China 'investments'

Former finance minister Daim Zainuddin questioned if Putrajaya's China-backed projects were investments or loans.

He also said he had no desire to reenter politics, and wished to stay retired after the 14th general election.
